Veteran Defenseman, Chris Barone, commits to Assumption College!

We are proud to announce that New England Stars veteran defenseman, Chris Barone, has committed to continue his hockey career at Assumption College. Barone is a 5’9” 180lb defenseman from Sterling, MA. He has registered 7 goals and 16 assists for 23 points in 46 games this season for the Stars.

“Chris came to our program three years ago as a 16 year old and has improved significantly over that time.  He is a solid all-around defenseman that can play in any situation.  He is physical, defends hard, and moves the puck up ice.  This is a true example of developing a young player into a college ready player.” – Stars Head Coach Darryl Green

Assumption College is a NCAA Division II University that competes in the Northeast-10 (NE10). The Assumption College campus is centrally located in rural, residential neighborhood of Worcester, MA. The Greyhounds play out of Charles J. Buffone Arena.

“I’m very excited to be on board with the Assumption Greyhounds and to have the opportunity to attend such a great school. I am also extremely grateful to Dan, Darryl, Zach, and all my teammates from the New England Stars for helping me get to the next level.” – Chris Barone

Congratulations Chris!
