In the third, Flanagan answered for Binghamton with a goal at 1:28 with helpers from his linemates, Reifler and Becker. Flanagan netted a goal at 10:53. Norris quickly followed with a goal at 12:46 with assists from his linemates, Barter and Caisse. Lempiainen scored what turned out to be the game winning goal at 15:58 with helpers from Gauvin and Conlon.
The Stars’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Broda’s big night as he stopped 27 of the 31 shots he faced. On the other hand, Broda’s counterpart, Burgess, and the Junior Senators’ defense did not have such a great night stopping only 22 of 27 shots.
This victory brings the New England Stars’ record to (3-0-0-0).
