Tyson Gudaitis had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 goals and Ian Gatley delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
During the first, Gatley opened the scoring for the Stars with a goal at 3:25 with helpers from his linemates, Lempiainen and Archambeault. Norris netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 14:57 with an assist from Wilson. Gudaitis deposited a goal at 18:12 with a helper from his teammate Wilson.
In the second, Johnson put in a goal at 6:08 with assists from his linemates, Gatley and Lempiainen. Dysart quickly followed with a goal at 6:39 with helpers from his linemates, Gratz and Ledbetter.
In the third period, Gudaitis answered for New England with a goal at 2:24 with an assist from defenseman Flynn.
The Stars’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Moon’s big night as he stopped 27 of the 28 shots he faced. Moon’s counterpart, Vardon, also had a big night, managing to stop 25 of 30, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the New England Stars’ record to (29-8-2-0).
