Derek Flynn had a busy night with 2 goals and Connor Barter contributed with 2 goals.
In the first, Barter opened the scoring for New England with a goal at 19:48 with helpers from his teammates Gudaitis and Lovejoy.
During the second, Barter netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 10:24. Flynn put in a goal at 13:59 with assists from Conlon and Gudaitis.
In the third, Flynn deposited a goal at 5:13 with a helper from Gauvin. Frechette quickly followed with a goal at 6:13 with assists from Labrie and Ouellette.
The Stars’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Ghimpeteanu as he stopped 19 of the 20 shots he faced. On the other hand, Ghimpeteanu’s counterpart, St. Pierre, and L/A’S defense has seen better nights allowing 3 goals in 13 shots.
