In the third, Herling scored a goal at 17:17 with helpers from his linemates, Lempiainen and Gauvin. Lempiainen put in a goal at 19:38.
New England’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Pesek as he stopped 11 of the 14 shots he faced. On the other hand, Pesek’s counterpart, Kelly, and Northeast’s defense had to remove a few pucks out of the back of his net allowing 6 goals in 26 shots.
This win brings the New England Stars’ record to (9-3-1-0).
