Michael Lempiainen would regain the 2 goal margin just over a minute later for New England. The Minutemen would only be able to get 1 more goaltender Sage Broda, giving the Stars a 4-3 win! “Friday we played well in the 2nd and 3rd periods. We controlled play and had a lot of zone time. One could argue we deserved two points and not just one. Saturday we played hard in the first and then coasted the rest of the game. It wasn’t Stars hockey that’s for sure. Taking 3 of 4 points is always good though. We’ll be better next time out.” – Head Coach Darryl Green
The Stars and Minutemen will face-off again on Friday Dec. 9th, at Skate 3. Following Friday night’s game, the Stars will Travel to Long Beach Saturday, Dec. 10th to play the Sharks. All games can be watched live on Hockey TV.
