The Stars struggled against the Junior Senators 5-2 in home game

Andrew Ghimpeteanu came up big, stopping 27 of 31 shots throughout the game. The Binghamton Junior Senators took the lead early in the second on a goal from Ryan Flanagan.

Michael Lempiainen contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Nate Lapointe had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Ryan Flanagan chipped in with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Jeremy Wilber delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

In the first period, Becker opened the scoring for Binghamton with a goal at 6:00 with helpers from his linemates, Wilber and Melso. Reifler put in a goal at 12:18 with helpers from his linemates, Wilber and Flanagan. Lempiainen finally put the Stars on the board with a goal at 15:00 with assists from teammates Lapointe and Connolly.

In the second period, Flanagan answered for the Junior Senators with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 1:04 with a helper from Miller.

During the third, Lapointe answered for New England with a goal at 4:09 with assists from his linemates, Gauvin and Lempiainen. Wilber answered for Binghamton with a goal at 9:19 with helpers from his linemates, Fondadouze and Mukovoz. Flanagan netted a goal at 19:41 with an assist from Becker.

This loss brings the New England Stars’ record to (3-1-0-0).
