The Stars fall to the Sharks 4-3

The New England Stars' defense had a poor night, allowing the Long Beach Sharks 43 shots throughout the game. The Long Beach Sharks took the lead late in the third on a goal from Gunther Stange.

Ian Gately chipped in with 2 goals and Tyson Gudaitis did his part, adding 2 assists. Tomas Loeffelman delivered for his team with 3 assists.

During the first period, Lindberg opened the scoring for the Sharks with a goal at 3:20 with helpers from his linemates, Loeffelman and Vitolins. Gately answered for the Stars with a goal at 15:15 with helpers from Arbuckle and Gudaitis. Lempiainen netted a goal at 19:19 with an assist from his teammate Menzies.

In the third, Rees answered for the Sharks with a goal at 2:29 with assists from Vitolins and Taffo. Gately answered for New England with a goal at 9:55 with a helper from Gudaitis. Regala answered for Long Beach with a goal at 12:44 with assists from Loeffelman and Vitolins. Stange deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 15:33 with helpers from his linemates, Vitolins and Loeffelman.
