October 28, 2016 – The Stars entered the weekend with an impressive 4-0 start as they hosted the, also 4-0, Long Beach Sharks in a two game series. Long beach would continue what they started in the 1st with a pair of goals by Oskar Lindberg. Long Beach would eventually seal the win with 2 additional goals in the 3rd resulting in a 9-1 loss for the Stars. Greg Moon would take over for Lamanno in net stopping 21 of 25 shots for the Stars.
“The weekend started great; we had one of the most complete and dominate 1st periods that I have seen in my time with the Stars. After that period however, we were flat, undisciplined and looked lost out there. That being said, September was a goodmonth. We were 4-1, learned a lot and now excited to see how October goes.” stated Coach Darryl Green
The Stars are back in action this upcoming weekend traveling to the L/A Fighting Spirit for a 7:00p puck drop then returning home to host the Cape Cod Islanders in a 1:20 matchup on Sunday Oct. 2nd.
