Stars Skate Past Minutemen in 7-2 Victory

The Stars traveled to the East Coast Minutemen this past Saturday for a 8:30p matchup at Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington, MA. The game started with the Minutemen opening up the scoring 7:44 into the first. Brandon Hammner would respond for the Stars scoring 9:38 in assisted by Michael Lempiainen and Zach Cormier. Brandon Hammner would score again just :37 before the end of the period to give the Stars a 2-1 lead going into the 2nd. Hammner’s second goal was assisted by Hunter McTague and Michael Lempiainen. The stars would notch 2 more in the 2nd just :59 apart to give them a 4-1 led going into the 3rd. The 3rd goal was was scorde by Ryan Paul assisted by Hunter McTague 6:47 in and the 4th By Hunter McTague assisted by Brendan Miller and Peter Menzies 7:46 in to the period. The Minutemen would try and chi away at the 3 goal deficit, notching their 2nd goal  coming fromNikolai Bazhenov on the power play. The Stars would put 3 more past Minutemen’s goaltender Montecalvo to secure the 7-2 victory. Goals game from Ryan Paul assisted by Derek Flynn and Brandon Hammner at 14:17, Cole Archambault assisted by Aidan Conlon and John Krapian at 14:38, and Brendan Miller assisted by Peter Menzies and Nick Johnson at 19:31. Sage Broda got the “W” in net stopping 20 of 22 shots.

The Stars now sit in 2nd place in the Coastal Division with a record of 9-2-1. The Stars are back in action on 10/28 as they travel to the L/A Fighting Spirit for a 7:00p puck drop. All games can be watched LIVE on Hockey TV.
